The Trimcooler are a range compact secondary coolers that fit beneath the bar - close to the point of dispense - and chills beverages to very low temperatures. This trim chilling effect is achieved using a patented refrigeration system that uses the water recirculation from the python to remove the heat from the unit’s unique condenser. The heat input back into the python is less than 0.2ºC! Very cold! The standard twin unit, at two pints a minute can cool beer from 6ºC to less than 2ºC in glass i.e. a Delta T of 4ºC, whilst the top of the range Super cooler can, with open tap dispense of 2 oz per second can cool beer from 4ºC to a subzero temperature in glass. How cool is that? Does the Trimcooler generate heat, noise or vibration? No. The Trimcooler’s unique design means it has only two main electrical components - its thermostat and compressor, the latter of which is the unit’s only moving part. So, unlike conventional under bar coolers, there are no whirring fans, motors, pumps or agitators! How many products can one Trimcooler dispense? The standard unit can dispense two products, whilst the XL, Super Chiller and Spirit Chiller are all single product units. How ‘compact’ is the Trimcooler? The Standard unit and the XL are 330mm wide (without the unit’s removable handles), 377mm deep (including 42mm connectors) and 204mm high, which is just a little taller than a pint glass! They weigh about 20 kilos and can be installed by just one person. The Super Chiller is 426mm (w), 346mm (d) and 255mm (h) and weighs about 33 Kilos. Can the Trimcooler be held beneath the bar, or used within an enclosed space? Yes. The Trimcooler can be held flush to the underside of the bar via two saddle brackets. And because the condenser requires no cooling airflow, it can also be placed in an entirely enclosed environment. Can an Trimcooler be used to condensate a font? Yes. With one additional John Guest cooling loop fitting, your Trimcooler can condensate fonts either by direct cooling or a trace line using the python water supply line. Is performance affected by ambient temperature? No. Unlike conventional under bar coolers, the Trimcooler is unaffected by the ambient temperature, and will continue to work even as this reaches the condensing temperature. The Trimcooler requires little or no maintenance as there are no blocked pumps, fans, agitators or motors to worry about. So, no more expensive call out charges! Can I have my Trimcooler branded? Yes. We can manufacture the units to include your company colours and brand logos. What is the Trimcooler’s life span? Under normal conditions you can expect a working life of ten years or more. And in the unlikely event that your unit fails while under warranty we would simply exchange it for a new one. Is the Trimcooler expensive to run? No. The ABC only needs to run for a few minutes an hour to keep beverages perfectly chilled. This means power consumption is minimal; what’s more, as the compressor only runs when the ABC is dispensing, it’s extremely energy efficient too. We need a trace line to the dispense point. Can the Trimcooler do this? Yes. All you need to do is apply a John Guest cooling loop fitting to the water in line. How many Trimcooler's can we put on a python loom? You can have four units on one loom dispensing from eight points. The product currently has BDA approval for two units per loom dispensing four products. What does it mean when the display shows an error code? The Trimcooler is designed to work in conjunction with the remote cooler - and will often act as an ‘early warning’ system. For example, if there is no water or water flow in the python water return line, the electronic stat will shut the unit down, and an error code on the Trimcooler’s display will indicate a refrigeration error as there is nowhere for the heat to go. If the stat can be set by the fitting engineer, can the licensee meddle with the settings? The unit will be delivered with the settings correct for the beverages you serve. Naturally, these settings can be altered if the product being cooled is changed. However, there is a set procedure to follow, so the licensee and/or bar staff cannot make alterations arbitrarily. Can my Trimcooler be left running 24/7? Yes. You can leave your Trimcooler running constantly. However, if your remote is switched off or is not working, you should switch off your Trimcooler too. We forgot to switch our Trimcooler off with our remote, and now there’s an error message. Just turn off your Trimcooler, and switch it back on again when your remote is back up and running. |
